Reading strategies: A reading strategy that teachers can use is Book Talks. Book Talks gets students motivated to read for enjoyment. This book specifically would be great for a book talk because of its beautiful illustrations, it will already be attention grabbing for young readers. Teachers will begin by presenting the book and giving the general information such as the title and author and then give a brief summary of the book without giving away the ending. Students will find themselves excited to read the book as a class or even on their own. Then teacher can read the story out loud.
