Brief Annotation: Officer Buckle goes to schools giving safetly speeches but most of the time the students listening to his speeches are really bored. But one day the police department gets police dogs, Officer Buckle’s dog is named Gloria. He takes Gloria to his safety speeches now and the whole talk Officer Buckle is talking Gloria is acting out the safety tip. The children love Gloria, and think Officer Buckle and Gloria make a good team.

Readers who will like this: Students that are interested in police officers will enjoy reading this book, students who like dogs who have special abilities will enjoy this book as well. The book is based on a friendship between man and animal so any student that has pets at home will also like this book.
Rating/Response 1-5: 4, I really enjoyed reading these book because I loved the relationship Officer Buckle has with Gloria. And the message of always sticking with your buddy is something everyone can agree with and take to heart.
