APA Citation: Gonzalez, M. C. (2014). Call Me Tree = Llamame arbol. New York: Children’s Book Press.
Short annotation: This book is about a little boy who describes himself as a tree. He starts off in the dirt of the earth and soon began to sprout and grow into a big tree. He describes what he sees around and such as the sky, birds, and other trees.
Grade Level: K-3
Intended Audience: This book is a good read for younger audiences as well as Mexican-Americans who speak English and Spanish.
Personal Rating: 10/10, I really liked how Gonzalez included the words in Spanish. This book would be good for classrooms that have Mexican ELL students as well as students who are interested in the Spanish language.
