Brief Annotation: Viva Frida explains the life of artist Frida Kahlo in very brief sentences, and much more illustrations. The book is written in both Spanish and English, and trys to show the reader how artist Frida Kahlo looked at the world to make her paintings.

Genre: Bibliography

Grade Level: 1

Readers who will like this: Readers who are interested in Frida Kahlo and her art and would like to learn more about her artistic process will enjoy this book. Also Viva Frida would interest readers who enjoy less words and more pictures.

Rating/Response 1-5: 2, The book had very beautiful illustrations but I like reading a book with more depth in the writing and this book did not have that. I could learn more about Frida Kahlo if there was more written infomation about her as a person and artist.

Text-Dependent Question: What can you infer about Frida Kahlo as an artist by reading Viva Frida?
