Annotation: In this book there is a young boy who visits a tree each day. The boy eats the trees apples and swings from its branches and the tree is happy. However the boy then starts to grow up and starts to demand more from the tree. The tree is still happy because she knew she was being helpful. The Boy took the whole tree all the way down to the stump. This book teaches the lesson of giving and taking.

Readers who would like this book. Readers would enjoy this book if they enjoy reading books about nature. This would also be a good book to use when teaching about taking and receiving.

Rating and Response: I would I would give this book a 8. I really enjoyed this book and I liked the lesson behind it. However the book was very repetitive and a little boring.
