Reading Strategy : Open Mind Portraits-

The Students are asked to draw a picture of the main characters head. Then behind the head children are asked to write what the character might have been thinking throughout the story. I choose to do this strategy with this story because there is a lot of emotion in this book and the students will be able to better tell how the character is feeling or thinking.
